The name "Die Rede ist sie der Eid ?" is a German palindrome meaning « Is speech an oath ? » which illustrates the concept attached to this product.
The seats "Die Rede ist sie der Eid ? " are small seats made of wood and about 35 cm course high. They are made to read, chat or relax... Their distinctive feature is their reversibility and the contrast between two surfaces. You can choose which matter, which drawing, which colour and therefore which side will correspond to your daily mood. The design is here a medium, for the product will be sold self-coloured on each side and the owner will be in charge of decking it according to what he wants to do.
While developing the project, we can imagine producing a series of unique items decorated by various artists.
"Die Rede ist sie der Eid?" is therefore a changeable chair which hasn't decided yet whether it belonged to the world of industry, craft industry or art, and neither have its users. The chair "Die Rede ist sie der Eid?" is inconstant in its moods as well as in its series.
