The process of my work is through memory, absence, traces and reminiscences.
Isn’t the foundation of representation precisely to fight against disappearance, or to recall this fight?
The series of images “alter-ation”, taken in China, is in-between: neither photography nor painting. For a year, the exposure of images on a non-photophile has been liquefying the subject, which you can sometimes still make out. A work in perpetual deliquescence.
